For the upcoming Shikahachi season, we have significantly updated our participation format to allow more people to experience this epic 800km journey in a style that suits them.
In addition to participating in the two “Arcs”—“The Jōban Arc” and “The Sanriku Arc”—we have also refreshed our tour options to be clearer and more accessible.
Two Tour Styles to Choose From
We offer two types of participation: the [Self-guided tour] and the [Guided tour].
- [Self-guided tour] This plan is for those who want to ride at their own pace, following their own route.
- [Guided tour] This plan is for those who want to ride leisurely and enjoy the scenery while led by a guide.
All Plans Include the “Shikahachi Support Pack”
Whichever tour style you choose, the “Shikahachi Support Pack” is included, providing peace of mind. This pack includes digital distribution of the recommended route (GPX), transport service (baggage transfer), and emergency service.

Shikahachi “The Jōban Arc” (First 3 Stages)
A route featuring majestic Pacific Ocean views and the powerful spirit of regional recovery.

- 4/27 (Mon) Stage 2 “Hitachi – Tomioka” (Self-guided 120km / Guided 77km)
- 4/28 (Tue) Stage 3 “Tomioka – Sendai” (Self-guided 133km / Guided 80km)
~ Interval Tour (Non-Cycling) ~
This is an original sightseeing tour during the rest period between the Jōban and Sanriku Arcs. We will visit Matsushima, Chūson-ji Temple, and travel from Sendai to Ishinomaki.

Shikahachi “The Sanriku Arc” (Latter 4 Stages)
A route featuring the spectacular scenery of the rias coastline and challenging old mountain roads.

- 5/2 (Sat) Stage 1 “Ishinomaki – Kesennuma” (88km)
- 5/3 (Sun) Stage 2 “Kesennuma – Kamaishi” (84km)
- 5/4 (Mon/Holiday) Stage 3 “Kamaishi – Kuji” (Self-guided 165km / Guided 76km)
- 5/5 (Tue/Holiday) Stage 4 “Kuji – Hachinohe” (70km)
Single Stage Participation
You can participate in any single stage you like.
- Self-guided tour: ¥10,000
- Guided tour: ¥25,000
Accommodation & Options
Accommodation
- Hotel (per night): ¥15,000 – ¥20,000
- (For a private room at Oonabeya on 5/2, please add +¥10,000)
Options (Meals, Transport, etc.)
- For Guided tour participants only:
- ¥10,000 / day (Includes lunch, dinner, and transportation fees)
- For Self-guided tour participants only:
- ¥6,000 / day (Includes dinner)
Application Process
After you submit the application form, our office will review the contents and send you a confirmation email of your application details.
Once you have confirmed that the details are correct, we will inform you of the total price and bank transfer details. Please note that submitting the form does not constitute a payment, so please feel free to apply.

- All prices listed are inclusive of tax.
